REMODEL YOUR BEDROOM ON A BUDGET
Tips for creating storage while remodeling a bedroom on a budget.
Remodeling your bedroom doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. With the holiday season upon us, there are a lot of good deals to be had. Sheet sets, blankets, throws, pillows, curtains and shams are priced to move, so it's a good time to invest in a new look if you want to. However, most bedroom make-overs are less about looks and more about function. Getting your bedroom set up in a way that is easy to organize is a great way to make your bedroom look nice while adding functionality and efficiency to the space.
Time to get your bedroom in order with these helpful tips from Only Hangers!
1) We use our bedrooms every day, for a lot more than just sleeping. Wouldn't it be easy if we just went in the bedroom to sleep and all we had to do was make the bed? Well, unfortunately for most people, our bedrooms double as storage space for household items, crafting areas, out-of-season clothes, Christmas gift storage, and more. Making a space for everything may not be as impossible as it sounds.
2) Finding storage space is the first thing you should do when remodeling or reorganizing your bedroom. Under the bed is a great space to store things that you don't need very often, but you do need access to from time to time. There are a lot of great containers on the market designed to slide under the bed. Some even have wheels or casters so that you can use them like drawers. Shoes, wrapping paper, craft supplies, magazines, and extra bed linens can all be safely stored under the bed.
3) Don't neglect the backs of doors in your bedroom. Hang coats, robes, scarves, hats, and belts on the back of the door for an out of sight, out of mind storage solution. Many hangers don't have to be installed, but just hang gently over the top of the door. Shoe organizers can be used for all sorts of things, including hair accessories, batteries, electronics, and craft supplies.
4) Use the right clothing hangers, like suit hangers to hang your clothes neatly, safely, and in the smallest amount of space possible. Hangers for clothes that fit tightly together save space and free up room for storing more items in your closet.
